Donate Blood

ABOUT SURAKTHA

Many people even from villages would reach corporate hospitals for treatments but they couldn't arrange blood for themselves which redirected them to buy blood they required from vendors who sell Blood units which is illegal, for very expensive price and unaffordable to many people. In order to stop such illegal issues and lend a helping hand to these innocent people who couldn't arrange Blood for themselves

Generation Yuvaa has taken a responsibility and started a WING GEN-YUVAA SURAKTHA on 5th April, 2012 to fulfill the BLOOD requirements of the needy.

In the first year of establishment of SURAKTHA, could able to arrange 200 units of Blood to the needy with limited number of donors. But in the 2nd year, in 2013 our confidence & strength in helping many has increased abruptly with the kind heart of DONORS, Blood Banks and Other Social groups who witnessed our approach towards the needy of blood.

Now, we are feeling proud and enlightened to announce that we have reached those destitute people through 16120 donations to the needy (Update Jan 31st, 2024) which include 30% of Negative Blood group donations. This has all happened only because of sincere & kind support of Regular Donors, Different groups/trusts, volunteers and support from common public in Blood Donation camps. Hospitals played an important role in case verifications by providing Request letter on their respective letter heads where the patient is been admitted for treatment.

Now GEN-YUVAA SURAKTHA has become a major source to fulfill blood requirements to the needy in Visakhapatnam and some parts of Andhra Pradesh.

"GEN-YUVAA SURAKTHA - DONATE BLOOD SAVE LIFE".

WHY GIVE BLOOD?

Donated blood is a lifeline for many people needing in long-term treatments and in emergencies.

LEARN ABOUT BLOOD

Your blood's main components: Red cells, Plasma and Platelets are vital for many different uses. Red cells, plasma and platelets

Red cells are used predominantly in treatments for cancer and blood diseases, as well as for treating anaemia and in surgeries for transplants and burns.

Plasma provides proteins, nutrients and a clotting agent that is vital to stop bleeding - it is the most versatile component of your blood.

Platelets are tiny cells used to help patients at a high risk of bleeding. They also contribute to the repair of damaged body tissue. By giving blood, every donor is contributing to a nation-wide challenge to provide life-saving products whenever and wherever they are needed.
